Join Mackenzie Laurin of The Ladybird Company, for a quiet evening of slow observation, sketching, and a joyful gathering of community. Together, we will practice the long-beloved tradition of botanical illustration; a genre of art that seeks to faithfully capture the true form of plant species. In this gathering, we will not be seeking perfection, or even beauty - aiming instead to cultivate a practice of careful attention, documentation, and relationship with the living world. Guests are invited to sit with the plants, study their botanical structures, and create their own field sketches in a relaxed, welcoming environment. This is not a formal art class, rather, a practice in plant study and identification.

Hand-blended Ladybird tisanes will be served throughout the gathering, and reference materials, specimens, and personal guidance will be available for each guest.

No formal art experience is required.
