About the event

In the depths of winter, planning the next year’s harvest has, for most of human history, been sacred time for communities to come together. Join herbalist and horticulturist Mackenzie Laurin at Quietude to learn a structured, personalizable framework for mapping the growing season. Learn when key plants reach their harvest windows, how to align wild harvests with cultivated crops, where to look for wild species, how to shape your cultivated garden to mimic natural habitats, strengthen your plant identification skills, and harvest with confidence and intention.

Participants will receive two Ladybird workbooks- Mapping Your Foraging Route and Garden Planning- to help organize ideas, track seasonal patterns, and translate inspiration into a clear, workable plan.

Freshly brewed Ladybird tea will be on tap in the classroom for students to enjoy.

Tickets: $70/person
