AN ARCHIVE OF NORTHERN ETHNOBOTANY & CULTURAL HERITAGE
The Ladybird Archives are a semi-public collection of books, herbal monographs, field & weather journals, herbaria, recipes, photographs, and recorded oral histories & interviews, located in rural Vermilion River County, Alberta. The Archives seek to preserve the folk knowledge, memories, stories, and traditions that connect people of the prairie provinces to the natural world.
The Archives are currently undergoing construction, as The Archivist (Mackenzie), works on slowly digitizing the collection.

WITHIN THE ARCHIVES
A growing collection of essays, written by Mackenzie Laurin, that attempt to capture the thread that weaves the whole of this project together.
Taken straight from Mackenzie's personal Materia Medica; these pages comprehensively detail the plants that make up the heart of this practice.
This section of the archives is ever-growing. The majority of what is published currently is taken from my ethnobotany work on the cultures that shaped my family story. This part of the archive is designed to be largely interactive- always growing, as family histories are documented.
