This heritage apothecary preparation was, for most of history, a staple of home, field, and battle medicine chests. Widely used as an emergency styptic, especially for wounded soldiers, this plant has a long tradition of use to stop bleeding, prevent infection, and draw foreign bodies out of wounds. I personally carry a jar of Achilles Powder with me everywhere I go- it is a critical part of my First Aid Kit. I have used it numerous times in the wild on small cuts and larger ones, with excellent results. 
 
Ingredients: ethically wild-foraged Achillea millefolium (Yarrow).
